Spring is in full bloom, and that means it’s almost time for ! Coming seven weeks after the start of Passover, the holiday celebrates receiving the Ten Commandments and the Torah, and it’s totally made for kids — a perfect excuse for sleepovers, flower picking, ice cream socials, and PJ Library Get Togethers.

’s program makes it easy and fun to host friends for all kinds of gatherings. Invite at least two other Jewish families you know to your place or anywhere else you’d like to gather, choose a Jewish theme, and get reimbursed $100 up to five times this year. There’s no need to submit receipts — just fill out a Get Together Report after you’ve hosted, and as long as your gathering meets the program requirements, PJ Library will send you a $100 gift card.

This year, Shavuot begins at sundown on Thurs., May 21 and ends at sundown on Sat., May 23.
