HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the man, the legend, the MVP… Robert Awuah 🎉🎂

Robert leads the team that makes Hudson Square what it is every single day. The clean, bright, walkable streets and open spaces people love to be in. None of it happens without him and his crew showing up, rain, shine or snow.

Thank you for everything you do, Robert. Hudson Square is lucky to have you. 🧡

The piano is back for the season in Freeman Plaza East 🎶

💡Did you know? The piano was custom-painted by Julia Cocuzza in 2022 and it still shines bright!

💡 Did you know? When the plazas are closed for the cold season, the piano finds a second home at the where youth keeps the music going until spring brings it back outside🌳

What happens when you turn a neighborhood’s stories into public art?

Welcome to Part 1 of the Hudson Square Storyline series 🎨

Artist Jenny Goldstick takes us behind the evolution of WTTW (Walk to the Water) — from the original sphere project highlighting Hudson Square’s history to today’s reimagined version built from the voices of the neighborhood itself.

Through story collection, conversations, memories, and data visualization, community experiences became the inspiration for the artwork you now see throughout Hudson Square leading to the waterfront.

This project is about more than spheres. It’s about turning people, stories, and shared experiences into something visible.

And this is just the beginning…

Stay tuned for Part 2, where Jenny shares how a team of illustrators joined the project before they even knew what they’d be creating 👀
