In 1947, Thomas Joseph “Pop” Toscano began providing waste collection services in Middle Village. 79 years and three generations later, the company that Tom Toscano founded has grown to utilize dozens of trucks, employ hundreds of people, and provide waste collection services to all of New York City. Today, that city celebrated his legacy by co-naming Edsall Ave "Thomas 'Pop' Toscano Way.

At 11am on Sunday, April 19th, the corner of 73rd Pl and Edsall Ave in Glendale will be co-named Tom “Pop” Toscano Way after the founder of Mr. T Carting .

There will be a ceremony and Boro-Wide will be providing refreshments.

All are welcome. We would love to celebrate Pop's legacy with you!
