Maricopa County Transportation crews are working hard to revitalize roads, with recent repaving in the Buckeye Area.
Fresh pavement is being installed in Primrose Estates, Buckeye North, and Phoenix Skyline West.
The project includes milling and removing worn asphalt at select locations before crews install a brand-new asphalt pavement overlay.
Thank you for your patience during construction as we continue investing in better roads for Buckeye residents and visitors. 🚧🛣️

At MCDOT, we’re always keeping an eye on the best ways to maintain and extend the life of nearly 2,500 miles of County roads using different pavement preservation methods. 🚧
But eventually, every road reaches the end of the line — and no quick fix can bring it back. That’s when it’s time for a full pavement replacement.
First, crews remove the old roadway through a process called milling, digging out the worn asphalt and base materials.
Then, brand-new asphaltic concrete is installed, giving the road a fresh start and many more years of life ahead. 🛣️💪
Construction on the Broadway Road Bridge replacement project reached a significant milestone with final paving having been completed this weekend. All lanes of Broadway Road are now open.

Arizona's winters are not only time for all the snowbirds to come back, but also the perfect time for our crews to provide roadway maintenance tasks like crack sealing.
Crack sealing prevents water from entering and weakening the pavement, which significantly slows roadway deterioration and extends the life of our streets.
Swipe to see what you should do if a crack sealing operation is present in your neighborhood.
