Here we are: voting for the March Primary Election!!

Early voting is now going on for the March Primary Election. You can go to any voting site in the area to vote. But be quick, because early voting ends on Friday, 1 March 2024.

Mr. Benjamin and Margaret met on Saturday, 16 September 2023 to iron out a schedule for Power of One to present information leading to the Joint Constitutional Amendments, General, Special Charter, and Bond Election on Tuesday, 7 November 2023. As you know, this election among other things, will have 14 proposals to be ratified for the Texas Constitution.

Mr. Benjamin is writing a column for the San Antonio Observer that will focus on a group of Constitutional proposals at each turn. We will host our Fall events at the Carver Branch Library, and we appreciate the support of Director Dr. DL Grant. Our fall events are as follows:

1 - Saturday, 14 October 2023, from 11am to 1pm: What’s on the Ballot (will be held in the Magazine room). Will focus on amendment proposals 4, 7, 8, 9.

2 - Saturday, 21 October 2023, from 11am to 1pm: What’s on the Ballot (will be held in the Magazine room). Will focus on amendment proposals 1-3, 5, 6.

3 - Saturday, 28 October 2023, from 11am to 1pm: What’s on the Ballot (will be held in the Media room). Will focus on amendment proposals 10-14.

4 - Saturday, 4 November 2023, from 11am to 1pm: What’s on the Ballot follow-up (will be held in the Magazine room). For this event, since we will have the previous three events that we can possibly do an evaluation and discuss turnout for early voting.



Election dates to remember:

· last day to register to vote in this election – Tuesday, 10 October 2023

· last day to apply for ballot by mail (received, not postmarked) – by 5pm on Friday, 27 October 2023

· early voting – Monday, 28 October 2023 to Friday, 3 November 2023

· day of election – Tuesday, 7 November 2023

First up: the 2023 Constitutional Amendments and Uniform Election on Tuesday, 7 November 2023. The main attraction for this election are 14 proposals to be voted on for the Texas Constitution.

Power of One will be holding a strategy meeting on Saturday, 16 September 2023 (from 1:30pm to 3pm) to plan our Fall elections schedule that will continue to keep our community informed!!
