Reese is the kind of dog who makes it easy to see why so many people fall in love with him.
This handsome boy has been adopted from ACS before and recently found his way back to us. Sometimes a good dog just isn't the right fit for a particular home, and that's what happened with Reese.
Reese would do best in an active home with adults or older children who can help him channel his enthusiasm in positive ways. He can be a lot of dog in the best sense of the phrase - energetic, playful, and always ready for the next adventure. Because of his size and excitement level, a home without little ones would be the best match for him.
Think of Reese as a sports car living in a school zone - full of potential, ready to go, and happiest when he has room to be his cute, goofy self.
Reese knows his basic manners, walks well on a leash, loves toys, and is always happy to trade his charm for a few belly rubs. He's affectionate, fun, and enjoys spending time with his people.
He also has a curious, adventurous side. Reese is the type of dog who likes to explore, so he'll need a family committed to keeping him safe and secure while continuing to build on the foundation he already has.
The right home won't be starting from scratch with Reese, they'll be getting a dog who already knows some of the basics and is ready to keep learning. More than anything, Reese deserves a family that's the right match for his personality, energy level, and lifestyle.
Let's help Reese find his perfect fit this time around. Come to ACS and meet him today.

Goose has been through more than most dogs ever should.
After being brought to ACS by a Good Samaritan, Goose arrived with severe injuries. It is believed he suffered an electrocution injury that resulted in the partial loss of his tongue. Since then, our veterinary team has worked hard to help him heal, and Goose has shown just how determined he is every step of the way.
Today, Goose is feeling better, eating well, and ready to find a home of his own.
His favorite things? People, cuddles, rolling around in the grass, and making everyone around him smile. He's a goofy, affectionate pup who doesn't let his past define him.
Goose may be missing part of his tongue, but he's certainly not missing any personality. This lovable goofball is all about cuddles, grass rolls, and finding new ways to make people laugh.
The only thing missing now is a family to share all that happiness with. Meet him today at ACS!

Some dogs take time to warm up to new people. Gumbo is not one of those dogs.
Gumbo seems to believe that every stranger is simply a friend he hasn't gotten the chance to kiss yet.
At around a year old, this handsome pup has already mastered the art of making people fall in love with him. Say hello, and he's instantly ready to be your best friend. Spend a few minutes with him, and you'll quickly discover why he's already catching the attention of staff.
Gumbo is the total package: friendly, polite, mild-mannered, and eager to please. He loves belly rubs, ear scratches, and being close to his people. He also has one very charming little quirk. Instead of waiting for affection to come to him, Gumbo likes to hop up just enough so you can give his head a proper scratch. Consider it his way of helping.
During a recent staff hangout, Gumbo spent most of his time doing what he does best: soaking up attention and sneaking sweet little kisses whenever the opportunity presented itself. The kind that make you laugh and immediately forgive him for stealing them.
He's smart, spunky, and has all the makings of an amazing companion. Gumbo would thrive in an active home, but he's also the kind of easygoing, people-loving dog who could make an excellent first dog for someone looking to add a four-legged best friend to their family.
In fact, he's making more than a few staff members wonder if they might need to take Gumbo home themselves. Come meet Gumbo at ACS and see what all the fuss is about.
