Our Hometown Hero Banner Program is still open, and there's still time to recognize the veterans, active-duty military members, and hometown heroes who have made a difference in our lives and community.
While banner orders placed now will not be installed before Independence Day, they will still be proudly displayed in Downtown Sandersville once received and will remain a lasting tribute for all to see.
Whether it's a parent, grandparent, spouse, child, friend, or neighbor, this is a meaningful way to honor their service and sacrifice.

City Hall & All Non-Emergency Departments will be closed on Friday, June 19th in Observance of Juneteenth. We will reopen on Monday, June 22nd at 8:00 a.m.
**Residential garbage routes will be picked up on regular schedule**

Despite the heat, our community showed up on Saturday, and for that, we are incredibly grateful.
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, performed, shopped, and supported Summer in Sandersville. While the weather wasn't what we hoped for, the community spirit was still on display.
We're coming back next year on May 1, 2027 for our annual event "Spring Fling"!
