The Small Creek Alliance is a network of government and non governmental organizations working cooperatively to reduce violence in Central DeKalb, Georgia.

It Takes a Village ! We will reduce violence in the DeKalb community through a united effort to improve the quality of health, experiences, and infrastructure for at risk youth and their households. We aim to build productive citizens that are conscious consumers, voters, and neighbors.

In a recent deposition, Justin Fox of DOGE was pressed about how the government was defining “DEI” when deciding which research and education grants could be cancelled by the government. Fox explained that under the policy, ANY historical topic that singles out a race or gender could potentially be classified as DEI and funding could be cut. But If ANY discussion of race or gender qualifies as DEI, what happens to research on slavery, segregation, women’s rights, or civil rights history? Arguments are ensuing that the grant cuts made and supported by the government have disproportionately affected projects focused on Black history and inequality even when those projects are documenting well-established historical events. After posting many videos of RECENT black historical events I’ve had many people saying that I’m “spreading hate” or “pushing for division”. But I challenge you to think… Is uncomfortable history allowing you to turn a blind eye to victims that are STILL alive and being created today? And will you stand for agendas like “DEI” to be a shield for more racism when it comes to government funding and proper education in schools? #fyp #blackhistory #DEI #DOGE #JustinFox 05/04/2026

In the Democratic primary for Georgia governor, front-runner Keisha Lance Bottoms seems to be running in one race while the three main candidates chasing her, former GOP Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, former state Sen. Jason Esteves and former Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond, are running in another. Faced with limited funds and dwindling time, the not-Bottoms candidates’ strategy is simple: Finish in second place in next month’s primary to get into a one-on-one runoff against the former Atlanta mayor in June. Attacking Bottoms’ record before then would only risk damaging their own reputations in the process, the thinking goes. Better to boost their own bios and policy proposals instead. But the collective hands-off strategy has let Bottoms run essentially unchallenged at the top of the field, holding policy events and listening sessions around the state while the other Democrats duke it out among themselves for a spot in the runoff.
