The court of criminal appeals affirmed Michael Jimenez murder conviction for brutally beating and strangling his wife to death.
In order to secure that conviction, the State called two of Mr. Jimenez past girlfriends and victims who testified that they suffered beatings and strangulation at the hands of Mr. Jimenez similar to those he inflicted on the victim in this case. The court of criminal appeals held that the state can and should present testimony from past survivors in difficult cases in order to hold those perpetrators responsible. Mr Jimenez will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Finding truth and seeking justice remain the core priorities of the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office. Year-to-date data from January 1–May 31 (2022–2026) shows steady progress in reducing violent crime and successfully resolving cases within the City of Tulsa.
Behind every statistic is a human life and families impacted. Our office reviews the unique facts and evidentiary factors of every single file to ensure the law is applied fairly and justly.
We are incredibly grateful for the hard work of the Tulsa Police Department and the ongoing cooperation of our community partners as we work together to make Tulsa a safer place to live, work, and raise a family.
