Today, I welcomed to The Village at Montclair, a transit-oriented housing development next to the Montclair Transportation Center. Projects like this demonstrate how strategic investments in housing and transportation can expand access to jobs, opportunity, and affordability.
This is the kind of forward-looking development we should be scaling in communities across the country.

I had the pleasure of meeting with my constituent, Sean, who reached out to my office for consular assistance. His daughter, Branka, was born in Colombia and needed a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) to record her US Citizenship. My team was able to advance the processing for the document and get it mailed to Sean so that his family can be reunited.
If you need help with a federal agency, reach out to my District Office to open casework. My team is here to help!

Russia's attack on a historic cathedral in Kyiv is yet another example of its disregard for civilian life, cultural heritage, and international norms. Ukrainians are fighting not only to defend their territory, but also their history and identity.
After Russia Attacks Kyiv With Missiles and Drones, Historic Orthodox Cathedral Burns
A bishop reported that many holy items had been recovered from the church, at the site of the Perchersk monastery, a revered place for the Ukrainian and Russian Orthodox faiths.

For 14 years, Dreamers have gone to school, built careers, raised families, paid taxes, and strengthened our communities. They have done everything this country has asked of them.
Yet Republicans continue to vote against protections for Dreamers. This year, they voted down amendments during Legislative Branch and Financial Services and General Government appropriations markups that would have allowed DACA recipients to work for the federal government. They also rejected an amendment during Homeland Security markup to prevent the detention and deportation of DACA recipients.
Dreamers deserve permanent protections and a pathway to citizenship.

The Annual Montclair County Fair Jamboree once again brought the community together for a day of family-friendly fun, local vendors, and activities for all ages. For 12 years, the County Fair Jamboree has highlighted the strong sense of community that makes the city a special place to live, work, and raise a family.
Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and attendees who helped make this year’s Jamboree a memorable celebration.

It was an exciting day at Ontario High School as students and community members welcomed home NASA astronaut Victor Glover and learned about his experiences, the obstacles he has overcome, and the lessons he has carried throughout his career.
Every student deserves the opportunity to see what is possible. Visits like these inspire young people to dream big, pursue careers in STEM, and believe that their future has no limits. 🚀✨

I was happy to celebrate the retirement of Alicia Mardini as CEO of East Valley Community Health Center.
Throughout her 47 years of service, CEO Mardini has built an extraordinary legacy of leadership, expanding access to quality healthcare across the San Gabriel Valley.

When a pardoned drug lord gets a taxpayer-funded tactical es**rt to the Waldorf Astoria instead of facing an ICE hold, the system is broken.
I held up ProPublica’s investigation in committee to demand a ban on special treatment for powerful criminals. My Republican colleagues voted it down, but I’m taking this to the Rules Committee next.
Lawmaker Pushes for Ban on Special Treatment for Convicted Drug Traffickers After ProPublica Report
When Trump pardoned Juan Orlando Hernández, prison officials had the former Honduran president's ICE hold lifted and he was driven to a posh New York hotel. That “can never be allowed to happen ever again,” said Rep. Norma Torres.
