I was proud to vote for a resolution to withdraw U.S. forces from Iran. At a time when millions of Americans are struggling with the cost of gas, groceries, and housing, Republicans should be focused on lowering costs, not pursuing another costly conflict overseas.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community while recognizing that the fight for equality is far from over.

As the Trump Administration continues to enable attacks on LGBTQIA+ Americans across the country, I remain committed to defending our community and protecting fundamental rights and freedoms.

Through comprehensive federal protections like the Equality Act, we are calling on Congress to finally deliver on the promise of equal rights under the law. As a member of the Congressional Equality Caucus, I will never back down from this fight.

My thoughts are with everyone impacted by the apartment fire in Oak Cliff, especially families who have lost loved ones and the residents forced from their homes. Grateful to the first responders who rushed into danger to keep our community safe.
