😶‍🌫️ A very foggy Venice was the destination of our Art & Design students field trip last Friday
Between a scenic view on the canals an the other they had the opportunity to visit the Doge’s Palace to soak in some classical art. 🛶
In the afternoon a visit to offered a glimpse of contemporary art.
Can’t wait to see what comes next! ❤️‍🔥

Meet our newest staff member - he really works his bones off 🦴

Our students had a fantastic time exploring Teatro della Pergola in Florence with professor Cinzia Pace 🎭

This theatre is one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious theatres.
They explored it all, including backstage secrets, during a guided tour completely in Italian! 🇮🇹
It was the perfect opportunity to put their language skills into practice and see just how much they’ve learned in such a short time.

For our last post of summer, we're bringing back old traditions (our loyal followers will understand 🥰) but with a beautiful new backdrop.

Last Friday, students from the “Sustainable Fashion in Italy” course, led by Prof. Clizia Moradei, visited Lottozero – a vibrant creative hub for textile design, art, and culture, located in the heart of Prato’s historic textile district. Founded in 2016 through a visionary crowdfunding campaign by sisters Tessa and Arianna Moroder, Lottozero continues to push boundaries in sustainable and innovative textile practices. We'd like to thank for the wonderful visit! 🪡🧵

Visiting Siena in July means being surrounded by the Palio experience. This historic horse race takes place in the famous Piazza del Campo, where ten contrade (neighborhoods) cheer their horse to win eternal glory. The Palio takes place twice a year: on July 2nd and on August 16th. The weeks before the race are filled with events, historical parades, and outdoor dinners to wish the horse and jockey the best of luck.

A few weeks ago, our Northwestern University students were hosted by the Contrata della Lupa - the Shewolf. After a walking tour, they had the chance to visit the contrada museum before enjoying a dinner in the fascinating streets of Siena. We thank for an incredible tour!

Then, just weeks later on another day trip, one of the Accent staff witnessed the winning horse, Diadoro, on an early morning celebratory walk through the streets, so we wanted to include the beautiful champion as well! 🐎
