The Ministry of Finance participated as part of the UAE delegation at the Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB64) in Bonn, Germany, one of the key preparatory milestones under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and an important step on the road to COP31. The Ministry’s participation reflects the UAE’s commitment to supporting international climate action and advancing climate finance and sustainable development efforts.

المتحدة في اجتماعات بون للمناخ (SB64) بمدينة بون الألمانية، والتي تمثل إحدى أهم المحطات التفاوضية ضمن اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ، وتمهد الطريق نحو مؤتمر الأطراف (COP31).
وتأتي مشاركة الوزارة تأكيداً لدور دولة الإمارات الفاعل في دعم العمل المناخي الدولي، وتعزيز جهود التمويل المناخي والتنمية المستدامة.

During a meeting held today at the Ministry of Finance headquarters in Dubai, H.E. Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, met with Anna Bjerde, Managing Director of Operations at the World Bank Group, to discuss ways to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the UAE and the World Bank Group (WBG), as well as shared global priorities and opportunities for enhanced financial and development cooperation.
Both sides reviewed progress on the National Talent Development Programme at the World Bank Group, as part of the broader cooperation framework between the UAE and the World Bank Group. They also discussed the significance of Abu Dhabi’s selection to host the 2029 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), a milestone that underscores the UAE’s growing international standing and the international financial community’s confidence in its organizational capabilities.

في اجتماع عُقد اليوم في وزارة المالية بدبي، بحث معالي محمد بن هادي الحسيني، وزير دولة للشؤون المالية، مع آنا بييردي، المديرة المنتدبة لشؤون العمليات في مجموعة البنك الدولي، سبل تعزيز الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين دولة الإمارات ومجموعة البنك الدولي، ومناقشة الأولويات العالمية المشتركة ومجالات التعاون المالي والتنموي.
كما ناقش الجانبان خلال الاجتماع مستجدات برنامج "كفاءات وطنية في مجموعة البنك الدولي" في إطار التعاون بين دولة الإمارات ومجموعة البنك الدولي، واستعرضا أهمية اختيار أبوظبي لاستضافة الاجتماعات السنوية لمجموعة البنك الدولي وصندوق النقد الدولي لعام 2029، وما يعكسه ذلك من مكانة دولية متقدمة لدولة الإمارات وثقة المؤسسات المالية العالمية بقدراتها التنظيمية.
