Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR)

التقى سعادة حمد الكعبي، مدير عام الهيئة، إلى جانب سعادة المهندس شريف العلماء، وكيل الوزارة لشؤون الطاقة والبترول، بمعالي جونغ كوان كيم، وزير التجارة والصناعة والطاقة في جمهورية كوريا. ويعكس اللقاء الشراكة الاستراتيجية الوثيقة بين دولة الإمارات وجمهورية كوريا فيما يتعلق الاستخدامات السلمية للطاقة النووية، والتي تمتد إلى أكثر من 15 عاما بين الهيئة وشركائها من الجهات الرقابية الكورية. كما بحث الجانبان فرص تعزيز هذا النجاح من خلال التعاون في التقنيات النووية المتقدمة، والمفاعلات النووية الصغيرة المعيارية، وغيرها من القطاعات الاستراتيجية.

H.E. Hamad Al Kaabi, FANR’s Director-General, joined H.E. Eng. Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy & Petroleum Affairs at , in a meeting with H.E. Kim Jung-kwan, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea. The meeting reaffirmed the strong UAE–Korea partnership in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, built on more than 15 years of close cooperation between FANR and its Korean regulatory counterparts. Discussions also explored opportunities to build on this success through collaboration in advanced nuclear technologies, Small Modular Reactors, and other strategic sectors.

شارك سعادة حمد الكعبي مدير عام الهيئة في حفل تخريج الدفعة الأولى من برنامج دبلوم تكنولوجيا الطاقة النووية، وهو برنامج تدريبي يمتد لمدة 24 شهراً أطلقته مؤسسة الإمارات للطاقة النووية عام 2023، لتطوير وتدريب الجيل القادم من مواطني دولة الإمارات للعمل في قطاع الطاقة النووية.

H.E. Hamad Al Kaabi, FANR’s Director-General, attended the graduation of the first cohort of the Diploma in Nuclear Technology, a 24-month programme launched in 2023 by ENEC, to train the next generation of Emiratis to pursue careers in the nuclear energy sector.

تم تكريم الهيئة من قبل وزارة التغير المناخي والبيئة على جهودها في حماية البيئة، مما يتماشى مع رؤية دولة الإمارات نحو مستقبل أكثر استدامة.

FANR was recognized by for its continued efforts in supporting the protection of the environment, contributing to the UAE’s vision for a sustainable future.

عقدت الهيئة عدداً من الجلسات مع المرخصين في قطاعات الصحة والصناعة وغيرها في إطار فعاليتها السنوية "لقاء مع الجهة الرقابية" حيث تم اطلاعهم على مستجدات عملها الرقابي فيما يخص المصادر المشعة والتعامل معها وتخزينها، إضافةً إلى أهمية حماية العاملين في هذا المجال الحيوي، مما يدعم جهود الهيئة في ضمان سلامة الجمهور والبيئة، وذلك بحضور أكثر من 750 مسؤول من القطاع.

كما أكدت الهيئة على دور المرخصين في ضمان أن التعامل مع المصادر المشعة يتم من قبل الأفراد المؤهلين، حيث سلطت الضوء على إطار عملها الرقابي وأنشطتها بما يخص التفتيش على المرافق والمخرجات من ذلك.

FANR conducted its annual licensee gathering titled “Meet Your Regulator” sharing recent updates to its regulatory framework, including regulations for the proper handling and storage of radiation sources, in a series of sessions attended by over 750 representatives, in line with FANR’s mandate to protect the public & environment.

FANR outlined the roles and responsibilities of licensees in ensuring that all radioactive sources are handled by qualified staff, as well as FANRs’ methods and findings from inspections of licensees facilities.
