FlyVaayu has officially inaugurated its AMO CAR 145 Facility at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport on June 23, 2026, marking a significant milestone for the Emirate’s aviation sector.

The new facility enhances local MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) capabilities, supports both FlyVaayu’s fleet and third-party operators, and strengthens Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a growing regional aviation and cargo hub.

With future plans including advanced maintenance workshops and an Airbus A320 Base Maintenance facility, FlyVaayu continues to drive innovation, job creation, and aviation growth in the UAE.

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has appointed Duty Free Americas (DFA) as its exclusive travel retail partner following a competitive selection process. DFA, part of the Falic Group and one of the world’s leading travel retail operators, will oversee the airport’s duty-free and retail operations, introducing an enhanced and customer-focused retail experience.

The partnership was officially inaugurated on June 2 in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Engr. Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation RAK and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, and Leon Falic, President of Falic Group.

Both parties highlighted the collaboration as a significant step toward strengthening Ras Al Khaimah International Airport’s position as a growing international gateway while enhancing passenger experience through world-class retail offerings.
