حقق مطار الشارقة اعتماد المستوى الرابع ضمن برنامج اعتماد الكربون للمطارات، البرنامج العالمي الوحيد المعتمد مؤسسياً لإدارة الكربون في المطارات من مجلس المطارات الدولي. ويأتي هذا الإنجاز تتويجاً لمسيرة المطار الناجحة عبر مستويات البرنامج المختلفة، بدءاً من حصوله على المستوى الأول «رسم خريطة الانبعاثات» في عام 2014، ثم المستوى الثاني «خفض الانبعاثات» في عام 2016، والمستوى الثالث «التحسين» في عام 2018، وصولاً إلى المستوى الثالث + «الحياد الكربوني» في عام 2020.
Sharjah Airport has achieved Airport Carbon Accreditation Level 4 under the Airport Carbon Accreditation program, the only institutionally endorsed global carbon management certification program for airports by Airports Council International (ACI). This milestone follows the airport’s successful Journey through different levels of ACA Program by achieving level-1 mapping in 2014, level-2 reduction in 2016, level-3 optimization in 2018 and level-3+ Neutrality in 2020.
