The last time writer Peter Edward was in Adelaide, it was a 2017 family road trip to see Deep Purple at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Hindmarsh ๐ถ.
He will be back in our City next week, visiting from Tasmania - but this time, as a debut novelist, with an author talk at Ngutungka West Lakes.
Congratulations Peter - see you soon. Bookings for this event are required - link in the comments.
From advertising creative director to off-grid writer in high country Tasmania, Peter Edwardโs journey is as fascinating as his fiction.
Peter will be in Adelaide next week, presenting a special author talk at Ngutungka West Lakes for his debut thriller, 'The Second Coming'.
The last time Peter was in Adelaide, it was a 2017 family road trip to see Deep Purple at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Hindmarsh ๐ถ - a visit he still remembers fondly.
โI remember it was a really hot summerโฆ we spent a fair bit of time swimming at Henley Beach,โ he says, recalling his stay at West Beach. โWonโt be doing that this time of the year!โ
While this visit might be colder, and less rock 'n' roll - it promises to be just as memorable - Peter is looking forward to sharing his first novel with our local audience.
If you love gripping, thought-provoking reads, this is an author talk you wonโt want to miss ๐๐

Was wonderful to host this special event today at Ngutungka West Lakes with author Joy Makepeace interviewed by Mandy Brown. And an honour to celebrate with community the launch of her new book here, 'Finding the Joy Within'.
A Stolen Generations survivor, Joy shared her struggle for belonging, and the impact of intergenerational pain. Her story is an inspiring journey of survival, strength and ultimately rediscovering inner joy.
At the event we also celebrated the release of 'The Sacred Self Healing Guide', which Joy Makepeace and Christine Power co-created.
Today was an opportunity for all of us to reflect, learn and consider how we can each be 'All in' on the journey towards reconciliation.
