🚌 Albany School Bus Updates - Effective Monday, 20 July 2026

Please note the following changes to local school bus services:
🔹 Route 735
Departure from Bushby Rd (Lower King) will be 2 minutes later in the morning. Will no longer service Bus Stop #72784 on Lower King Rd

🔹 Route 729
New earlier start time: 7:56am from the terminus. Will now travel the full length of Lancaster Rd, turn around at Menang Dr, return along Lancaster Rd, then turn right onto McGonnell Rd

🔹 Route 736
New start time: 7:43am from the terminus (later departure). Will no longer travel along Lancaster Rd to Menang Dr.

🚗 Road Smart Kick Start at NASHS

Last week our Year 7 and 8 students participated in the Road Smart Kick Start Program, gaining valuable insights into road safety through practical, hands-on learning.

This education program, delivered across regional Western Australia, focuses on building students’ awareness and strengthening their decision-making skills when it comes to staying safe on our roads.

Students rotated through a range of interactive stations, exploring key topics such as speed, distractions, fatigue, peer pressure and the importance of safety gear.
It was fantastic to see such high levels of engagement throughout the sessions, with students actively participating and taking away important lessons for everyday life.

Thank you to the Road Smart team for delivering such an informative and impactful experience for our students!

🏉Years 7/8 AFL Interschool Carnival 🏉

On Thursday 11 June, our Years 7/8 students represented NASHS at the Interschool AFL Carnival. With six teams competing, it was a busy and exciting day, with students giving their best effort and celebrating each success along the way.

The girls team had a mix of wins and losses throughout the day and showed great improvement in their teamwork as the carnival progressed. They finished 4th overall.

🥇Most Valuable Player: Lay Lay Nel

The boys team performed strongly all day, with their only loss coming against Denmark. This set up a Grand Final rematch against Denmark, which ended in a draw. A countback was required to determine the result, with the NASHS boys finishing 2nd overall.

🥇 Most Valuable Player: Zaiden Wyatt

Thank you to our student umpires who volunteered their time to assist throughout the day. Your help was greatly appreciated.

🎶Term 2 Musical Showcase 🎸

Our Musical Showcase is a great opportunity for NASHS Music students to perform the pieces they have been developing throughout the term for family and friends.

Through our IMSS and Contemporary Music programs, students build their skills in learning, rehearsing, and performing music, with opportunities to showcase their talents at school assemblies, community events, and special performances such as this showcase.
