A beautiful sunset and our beautiful and gentle Wombat.🩷 Wombat is already huge at 4 years old…check out his gigantic paws! His paws are the biggest we’ve ever seen and he still has about 3-4 years of growing.

Please don’t arrest me for being too cute 🥰 Our newest little orphan…name to come.
Our sweet Jodie is learning to stand by spending a few minutes at a time out of her pouch, but as you can see she already has expert level grooming skills. 🩷

2006 - 20 years ago at my little rescue centre in town. ❤️ My 3 little orphans (Archie, Frank and Albert) grew up to be healthy and strong and were successfully released back to the wild.
📸 Thank you Irene C. for sending this great pic of when you visited.

A rescue by one of our wonderful volunteers Yasemin.🩷 While on a camping trip, Yasemin and her partner Tobi came across a poor kangaroo who’d been hit by a vehicle on the highway. They stopped to check her pouch and found a joey (TJ) tucked away safe and unharmed. TJ was cared for expertly for a few days by Yasemin and Tobi, and arrived safely to us a few days ago. 2nd pic shows how well TJ has settled in - happily snuggled between Bamba and Jodie. 🤗🩷

Our hope for all our orphaned baby kangaroos is that they grow up strong and live a long and healthy life like our dear Abi. Abi is in this gorgeous painting behind Jodie. 💕 Abi lived to 18 years old, which is very old for a kangaroo.
On a beautiful walk this morning at our local Alice Springs Telegraph Station & Trail Station Cafe we were lucky to spot a black-footed rock wallaby and a euro close together in the wild. It was an icy ❄️ morning so they were warming up in the sun.
