As our new Hands On Learning and Gardening rotation begins, we are learning all about Bees and how important they are in the environment, pollinating over a third of the crops consumed by humans.

Did you know-
Bees have five eyes and six legs.
Bees can’t see the colour red.
There are over 20,000 bee species in the world with Australia being home for 1700 native species.
Australia’s smallest native bee is 2mm and our largest is 24mm

Photos attached are our bee water cups (stage one) to be distributed into our school and home gardens.

It’s all happening tomorrow at Apsley Primary School. Come and have some fun and meet our new facilitator Brooke Ewer. All welcome from babies through to primary aged children.
