New look visitor centre opens at Aradale | West Vic News | Ararat & Stawell, Grampians to the Pyrenees. Ararat Advocate, Advertiser, Stawell Times-News. VISITORS to Ararat’s historical Aradale mental asylum now have access to updated displays and historical information following a major revamp. The Friends of J Ward embarked on a project last year to refresh the displays available to the public, with most of the work carried out by volunteer Jon.....

Today our Aradale Museum Relaunch was a huge success, with speeches from Peter Waterman & Jon Steele, a large turnout of people & lots of positive comments. The Ararat Advocate newspaper also attended for an article to be published this week.

6 months in the making with all new displays we are pleased to invite you to the opening day of the Aradale Visitors Centre Museum on the 17th May at 12.30pm located at the Grano Street entrance of Aradale in Ararat Victoria. It is free for you to attend, and normal Aradale site tours will start at 10am, bookings via aradale.com.au
