It’s always wonderful to see students and residents come together through The Bridge Project. This latest visit to Wahroonga Aged Care in Biloela saw plenty of creativity, conversation and friendship shared over a paint and sip afternoon.
These moments help build lasting connections between generations and are a reminder of the positive impact community can have on us all. Thank you to everyone involved for making it such a special afternoon.

At Immanuel Gardens Aged Care and Retirement Living in Buderim, a very special space has been lovingly restored 🤍
Residents, staff and community members recently gathered to celebrate the re-opening of the Memorial Garden and Columbarium — a place created close to home, to honour loved ones.
The garden has now been beautifully restored, with a handcrafted sign from the Men’s Shed painted by resident artist Helen Saint-Smith adding a beautiful touch.

Tabeel Aged Care residents and staff were proud to take part in Laidley's "Paint It Pink" Day in support of local girl Emily and to help raise awareness of Batten disease.
Dressed in pink from head to toe, residents joined the community walk through town, showing their support for Emily and her family while helping shine a light on this rare condition.
It was wonderful to see so many people throughout Laidley embracing the day and coming together for such an important cause. The event gave residents the opportunity to be involved in the wider community while helping spread awareness and support for families affected by Batten disease. 💗

Some stories belong to a whole community. The St Andrews Aged Care Origin Story is one of them.
Lutheran Services has had the joy of sharing the St Andrews Aged Care Origin Story with the community where so much of it first began – formally presenting the story at St Andrews Lutheran Church, before sharing it more broadly with residents, staff, families, volunteers and friends at a special morning tea at St Andrews Aged Care.
Together, these gatherings honoured the people, faith, vision and community spirit that helped establish St Andrews more than 30 years ago.
Through stories and reflections from founding leaders, long-time volunteers, residents and team members, guests were reminded of the relationships, care and sense of belonging that have always been at the heart of St Andrews.
Thank you to everyone who contributed memories, photographs and stories to help preserve this important part of the St Andrews story for future generations.

Cabanda Care residents in Rosewood are enjoying a baby boom of the feathered variety after the home’s resident chickens recently welcomed 12 newly hatched chicks. 🐥
The fluffy newcomers have been keeping everyone entertained and have quickly become the most popular residents on site.
Keeping a close eye on the brood is Service Manager Francis, who seems to have settled comfortably into his new role as Father Rooster!

Meet Olive 💛
After being part of our Orana Home Care community for many years, Olive has recently made the move to Orana Aged Care in Kingaroy.
Support Worker Nathan was there to welcome Olive with a beautiful bunch of flowers as she arrived home.
While the Home Care team will miss seeing Olive regularly, with Home Care and Aged Care co-located, they won’t have to miss her for long and are already looking forward to popping in for a chat!
