Melbourne Weekend Idea: Part 5 Art Edition🎨

Visit National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) - Australia's oldest and most visited art museum.

11 junior students from Indonesia🇮🇩 joined 1-week program with Kew High School, supported by OZiHOUSE!

📖 During their stay, students experienced everyday Australian school life - joining classes, activities, and make connections with local friends.

🏠 Outside of class, they stayed in nearby OZiHOUSE homestay homes, where host families provided daily care, transport between home and school, and shared after-school experiences.

Every Monday, we welcome new students in Melbourne to OZiHOUSE Drummond for orientation. It’s the perfect chance to meet the team, get insider tips on Melbourne life, and connect with your new housemates from day one!

For our homestay students across Australia, we also run live online orientations covering everything from groceries and public transport to how to ask for support as OZiHOUSE students.

Next Monday (8th June) is a public holiday to mark the monarch's official birthday, and many people use the extra day to relax, travel, or spend time with family and friends.

In April, OZiHOUSE partnered with Mulia Edukasi Mandiri to host seven bright students from SMA Labschool Cirendeu for an exclusive university experience program.

This week is National Reconciliation Week in Australia🇦🇺

At OZiHOUSE, we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live, work and study, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

National Reconciliation Week is a time to learn about and reflect on the histories, cultures, and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples - the First Nations peoples of Australia. It also recognises the ongoing journey towards respect, understanding, and reconciliation.

For international students, it's a valuable opportunity to learn more about the rich history and culture of the place you are now calling home during your studies.

There are many Reconciliation Week events happening across the country this week, including at Fed Square for Melbourne - so make sure to check them out and experience this important week for yourself.

In early 2026, we hosted multiple groups of international students under 18 for a study tour experience across Australia 🌏
