What a fantastic Planting Day we had this morning. There was an incredible turn out of our Frankston community to assist in planting the 700 + indigenous plants. The children were incredible and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Well done Frankston, you’re all champions.

ASC Community Planting Day 2026
A huge shout out to the Sweetwater community for a fantastic morning’s planting in the Reserve today! We had a great turn up of well over 50 people and planted 772 indigenous tubestock. A lavish morning tea followed, where people were able to chat and relax.
A lot of organisation goes into these events. Thank you to the Frankston City Council’s Bushland Team Leader, Tamara Keyte and Ranger Tia for your guidance and support.
Thank you to the Frankston indigenous nursery for the high quality tubestock supplied today, supported by Melbourne Water as part of our Grant.
Thank you to the Action Sweetwater Creek committee for the hours involved with planning (and baking!)
And especially, thank you to everyone who turned up with bells on and made this event such a special one.
Think globally, act locally!

Weeding and planting at the Liddesdale entrance was today’s working bee’s task.
We had a great group of volunteers including two new ones who joined us for the first time. Well done everyone.

The Noticeboard, the bracken burn and heathland areas were our work sites this morning. Morning tea together completed the morning’s weeding.
