An onsite pharmacy at 69 Bourke Street is another critical puzzle piece 🧩 in offering holistic, wrap-around support to the vulnerable Melburnians we work with.

Today’s Herald Sun 📰 highlights the incredible impact of the Pratt Foundation.
Led by Heloise Pratt, the foundation plays a vital role in supporting the Magpie Nest Café ☕-where around 3,000 free meals are served each week to some of Melbourne’s most vulnerable people ❤️

We may be having a balmy start to winter but for rough sleepers every night is a fight to stay warm ❄️🧥

We were incredibly honored to welcome the Governor-General of Australia, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, to Melbourne Salvos 614.
It was a privilege to showcase the vital work being done across our community- supporting those experiencing hardship, providing hope, and creating pathways to a better future. The visit highlighted the importance of compassion, connection, and collaboration in strengthening our community.
We’re grateful for the recognition of our team, volunteers and partners, whose dedication makes a real difference every day. Together, we continue to stand with those in need and work towards lasting change.

We were pleased to host a morning tea this morning to thank the legends who were behind the mask of Captain Amenity at the Moomba Birdman Rally in March. The City of Melbourne's City Safety, Security and Amenity team raised over $5000 for the work we do at Salvos 614. Every single cent has made a meaningful difference. Thank you so much for helping us to help Melbourne's most vulnerable.

Look at these gorgeous hand knitted scarves that were donated this week. All of the love and kindness that went into their creation will be so appreciated by the community members who receive them. There is so much kindness in the world. Thank you to the special donor.

Mural x digital art for Footscray community cafe. Worked with the @salvosau to create this space and @portable_julian to execute the projection mapping. Our suburb Footscray is a place where people need the help, this mural is suggests that what we have created is a room where people that need it can come and grow with the support offered. This is symbolised through the plants in this design that grow when fed and watered appropriately which is the plan for helping our local people!
