BACKYARD LEGALS ONLY
Imagine getting married in your very own backyard. Being able to look out your kitchen window and see the spot, where you said the words, and felt all the things. In a space that is all yours.
That is what gorgeous Tom and Laura did back in March.
Joined by their kids and witnessed by their family, we said the words, signed the paperwork and celebrated with a glass of bubbles.
Later in the arvo, their house and garden filled with ALL their loved ones from ALL the areas of their lives, for a commitment ceremony led by their mate, and an after party for the ages.
Sweet and Simple.
Relaxed and Easy.
Low stress. No fuss.
All them.
It was perfect.
If this sounds like just your vibe... Megan Jordan Celebrant is doing a special Legals Only rate to celebrate the end of wedding season.

When I was little, my Mum said that if you wanted to make friends, you just have to go out into the playground and say 'Hi, my name's Megan, do you want to play?'
So this is me... doing the adult version.
Hi, I'm Megan.
I'm a sustainability nerd and a thrift shop addict.
I dress for joy, and love bold bright prints and gorgeous earrings.
I love reading and a good chai poured in an imperfect cup, preferably taken on the deck in the sunshine, wherever I am.
And whether you are planning a tiny registry style wedding, or a big fabulous festival of love, I am always just so genuinely thrilled, that couples invite me into their moment with them. (And with my 200+ 5 star Google Reviews... they seem pretty darn pleased too!)
So what do you say... do you want to play?

VOW RENEWALS
I honestly still have goosebumps when I think about what a privilege it was to bear witness to this gorgeous couple making new promises for their changing life together.
This was a private moment just for them.
They haven't shared the news with family or friends, and so I won't be sharing any photos of the day.
But what I am able to share with their blessing, is the words they generously shared in their review....
'Megan is the exact person you want to walk you through one of the most precious days of your life - she’s warmth, kindness and heart personified!
We were so lucky to have Megan facilitate our very intimate vow renewal and boy did she knock our socks off!
She totally understood our brief of the vow renewal being really personalised, full of love and just for our little family… it was a day my husband, daughters and I will never forget.
Having had a catholic ceremony a few years beforehand where our vows were generic, Megan helped us write vows that were so meaningful and reflective of our current life stage together.
After living a lot of life together as a married couple, it was so nice to take a step back and think more deliberately about what we commitments we are making to each other and to our daughters too - Megan’s counsel on these vows and ways creating a meaningful ceremony was so appreciated and made the day itself and beyond feel so incredibly special.
If you’re thinking about doing a vow renewal, Megan is the best person to help you create magic and meaning!'
So much love for you both!!!

WHAT'S IN THE BAG?
She's giving Mary Poppins vibes. And it's not just her love of musical theatre....
I do weddings all over. I dunno if it's my Type A personality or being a Mum, but I'm all about being prepared.
Swipe to check out just some of the items in my emergency kit.
First slide is for the usual suspects. The second is where we level up!
Shout out to my MVPs:
- Folding fan: for my perimenopausal sisters
- Wet ones: for when Aunty Gladys comes in for the cuddle and rubs her foundation caked cheek against your crisp and clean suit jacket.
- Bubbles: for distracting and entertaining the smallest members of your party.
- Clutch glue: for when the girls are on full display and you'd rather they be a bit more tucked away.
- Dental floss: obviously for hose unsightly bits of rocket in your teeth, but where this baby REALLY SHINES is that it can be used to secure a dress train back to a button in a pinch
- CPR barrier mask: because you never know what can happen. And your girl is first aid AND CPR trained.
Rain, hail or shine, I've got you covered in case of any emergency.

Question: What does a Scottish, Greek, Italian wedding look like?
Answer: Anything you want it to!
In planning their wedding, Angie and Taylor leaned into the individual cultural stories of their families to create a ceremony that was a true reflection of their history, and a celebration of the beautiful little family they have built together.
They had bagpipes on arrival.
A chair saved for Angie's dearly missed Dad Cozi.
A bespoke story crafted by me celebrating their love story from year 8, all the way to their wedding day.
Personal vows and rings, with their beautiful boy Luca right in the middle of the action.
A Stefana crowning facilitated by Angie's lovely sister.
And Taylor's Mum declaring them married, and pouring their first drink in a quaiche to celebrate.
Every element of the day was crafted with thought and intention and layered with meaning. And as a result, the ceremony and the wedding felt JUST RIGHT for them.
It was vibrant, engaging and so much fun. And I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

REGISTRY STYLE WEDDING
Don and Jan have had a whole lifetime of love behind them.
When life threw them some curve balls, they knew they wanted to pull the trigger on their 20 year engagement and FINALLY make it legal.
They booked the cute little room at Bridges Hotel in Hurstbridge, gathered their family for lunch and we made them married in a no fuss, relaxed legals only wedding in the courtyard outside.
After decades of love and so many milestones behind them, this felt like the perfect way to celebrate.
If a low key, low stress, little legals only, feels like what you have been waiting for, I would just love to help you make it happen.

Looking forward to sharing big laughs and big learnings, with all the chins and many cheers with my beautiful Flamingoes on Monday and Tuesday next week!
There is something very special about coming together with people who throw themselves so wholeheartedly into the celebration of others. Who give up their weekends to make sure that your day is everything you could have dreamed of.
It's so special to be surrounded by this kind of dynamic, optimistic energy and I can't wait to fill up my cup with these gorgeous folk and fall in love with my business, all over again.

HOT TIP: FED IS FAB
On your wedding day, you have all the feels, and all of the adrenalin. And you will be HUNGRY AF.
Everyone is focused on making sure your hair looks awesome and that you're carrying your flowers right and that your short Aunty doesn't press her foundation covered cheek onto your suit in a big cuddle just before you say 'I do'.
Make sure that you have a team around you who don't just have your back, but have your stomach too.
Here are gorgeous Maddy and Rudich, being treated like the total VIPs they are by the fabulous and .events.
Having the space post ceremony to get fed and watered before the big party to follow means you'll be grounded, relaxed, and look as amazing as these two in their photos by
Legends.

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES GET MARRIED TOO
When we start planning your ceremony together I will always ask you this one MAGIC question;
'Is there anything you would like me to know about YOU, or YOUR GUESTS, to be inclusive on the day?'
We each come with our own preferences and our own support needs.
This means different things for different people. It might be physical access requirements. It might be sensory sensitivities. It might be the impact of chronic ill health or disability. It might be mental health challenges. It might be family drama.
Meet my gorgeous bride Laura. Laura is a legally blind legend. She is an expert in her own experience and what works and what doesn't.
When we planned her wedding at the Glasshaus Inside, we spoke alot about what she needed to have equitable access, empowered choice and ease of independent movement on the day.
When I was preparing this post, I asked Laura what this experience was like for her. THIS is what she said;
'You were super helpful and made me feel really comfortable and like I was any other client of yours.
For me everything being online makes it super easy because I use my own accessibility settings and programs to be able to use my phone and laptop doing it online made it possible for me to do this independently and just need Mish‘s help with any forms that we filled in.
You were also really great on the day pointing out where to sign and reading the documents out loud to me also made it super simple .
Discussing with you where I want to stand ahead of time and you making me aware of changes you made to the space once you arrived, was really helpful and made me feel like you were intentionally thinking about me and what would make my experience easier.
Happy for you to make a post about our experience together. I think it’s really important for people to know as well that people with disabilities lead really normal lives and get married and want to celebrate like everybody else .'
As your host, facilitator and your biggest cheerleader on your wedding day, having an open dialogue about what you need helps me to make sure you have the very best time on your wedding day.
