Pair your drive to the snow with the playlist we’ve put together for the trip:

- Slow down in wet weather. The roads are slippery enough without testing your luck.
- Leave more space between you and the car in front.
- Turn your headlights on when visibility is low. If you can barely see the mountain, other drivers can barely see you.
- Check your tyres before you leave.
- Carry snow chains where required and know how to fit them before you're standing on the side of the road in the cold googling instructions.
- Take regular breaks.

Get there safely, enjoy the snow, and remember: a successful snow trip starts with making it there in one piece.

Whether you're stopping to take in the view, heading off on a Gippsland getaway or simply passing through, Kalimna is a gateway to one of Victoria's most iconic destinations.

We've completed safety upgrades along the Princes Hwy at Kalimna, including improvements to the Lookout Rd and Hotel Rd intersections and upgrades to the Kalimna Path between the lookout and North Arm Bridge.

These improvements will make it easier and safer for locals and visitors to explore the area and enjoy everything the Gippsland Lakes region has to offer.

Public transport should feel safe and comfortable for everyone.

That’s why there’s STOPIT - a discreet way to report behaviours like homophobic remarks. Reports are sent directly to Victoria Police, and every report is taken seriously and followed up. More than 75 arrests have been made to date.

Save the STOPIT number - 0499 455 455 - in your contacts.

STOPIT is not monitored live. In an emergency, call Triple Zero (000).
