Girl Guides are found in 5 districts in Townsville, Mount Isa and Charters Towers. What is Guides, what do we do? Where and when do we meet?

For the younger girls (5-10 years old) we camp, do some craft, cook, fun outdoors activities etc. This is a time for girls to start becoming independent – they have to take responsibility for themselves. For Girls aged 10-18, they are provided more opportunities to camp, different and more extensive outdoor activ

We know that our parents, carers and volunteers give so much to Girl Guides, this EOFY we're showcasing the connection, confidence, and community made possible through Girl Guides Queensland. For many girls and young women, Guiding provides a safe place to learn, grow, make friends, and discover who they can become.

You can help us spread this message by sharing this post with your friends, family, and networks. Together, we can help more people learn about the impact of Guiding and the importance of creating safe spaces where everyone feels they belong.

Because belonging changes lives. 💙

Big impact starts with one person saying ‘Yes!’ 🌟

At Girl Guides, volunteers help girls and young women grow in confidence, take on challenges, build friendships and discover their potential – and it all starts with people willing to show up and make a difference.

You don’t need to have all the answers or endless free time to volunteer. Sometimes, the smallest moments of encouragement can leave the biggest impact. ☀️🌈✨

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, this could be your sign to start the conversation. Because big impact really does start with you.
