Illegal dumping is unsafe, unsightly, and unacceptable - and right now, the Sturt Street Cutting Carpark has been hit hard.

Council’s Community Safety and Resource Recovery teams are working together to clean up the mess and get the area back to a safe, clean space for everyone.

To allow access for large vehicles, a section of the carpark (highlighted in yellow on the map) will be temporarily unavailable:

The 𝘙𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘕𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘔𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳 has been moved upstream after clearing weeds at Aplin’s Weir, making way for upcoming rowing events 🚣‍♂️

The aquatic harvester is now targeting submerged weeds at Black Weir to help keep the Ross River healthy and accessible.

Unfortunately our crew completing the Murray St upgrade have come into contact with a NBN cable this morning and we are aware of some service disruptions in the area. 🛜🪏

Council is working to rectify the issue and will provide more details on this post as they become available.
