Foundation students had so much fun creating their very own split pin people during our learning about the human body and movement!
Students explored different body parts used for movement and discussed how we use many body parts together when we run, jump, stretch and play. Through this hands-on activity, students recognised body parts and created movable people using split pins to show how our bodies move.
We loved seeing the students’ creativity, excitement and growing understanding of movement through play and hands-on learning!

This week the Grade 3/4s began learning how to be safe online. Our cybersafety lessons will continue throughout the year and cover the following topics:
-Keep information private: Never share your address, school name, phone number, or passwords.
-Think before you click: Avoid opening unknown links or talking to strangers online.
-Block and report: Remind them it is okay to block and report people who are unkind.
-Treat others with respect: Use the same manners online as you would face-to-face.

The Grade 2 Learning Community have been learning about mass in maths. In this hands-on activity students compared the mass of different objects in the room by measuring using informal units. They then compared, which objects had equal mass, less or more mass.
As part of our Inquiry unit, we enjoyed an excursion to Sealife Aquarium. Students were very excited and the penguins were a big favourite. We also learned a great deal about ocean habitats and the living things in this habitat.
