Quality nonprofit sector data: By us, for us.

Nonprofits support and care for millions of Ontarians on an annual basis. Time and again, our sector steps up to provide the programs and services Ontarians need to survive and thrive.

The sector’s collective advocacy for understanding and sharing information about the sector’s realities is built upon good, consistent, high-quality data made possible through ONN’s annual survey. Data from this survey helps us advocate for change and advance the well-being of our sector, its workers, and the communities we serve.

This work is only possible with your continued participation. Help us reach our goal of a minimum of 100 Halton-serving organizations - complete the survey now!

Click here to access the survey: https://buff.ly/o3h0NuR?

We urge all nonprofits in Halton Region and across Ontario with a mission to serve the public benefit, including charities, grassroots groups, volunteer-run organizations, nonprofit social enterprises, and nonprofit co-operatives to fill out the survey.

For 75 years, the people of St. Aidans have quietly lived out those words: creating brave spaces, building relationships, and showing up for their neighbours. From combating isolation among older adults to supporting local initiatives, hosting community events, and opening their doors to people from every walk of life, their impact extends far beyond the walls of a church building.

In a world where many feel disconnected, belonging starts with a simple invitation: You are
welcome here.

Read the story and discover how a small community is making a big difference, one relationship at a time.

CONNECTING TECHNOLOGY AND HUMANS IN THE NON-PROFIT SPACE
Halton Non-Profit Congress: Saturday October 3, 2026 at the Milton Senior's Activity Centre

The Halton Non-Profit Congress is the region’s premier professional development event, bringing together nonprofit leaders, staff, and volunteers for a dynamic day of learning, connection, and growth. This year’s theme, “Connecting Technology and Humans in the Non-Profit Space,” explores how organizations can effectively harness emerging tools while staying grounded in the human relationships that drive meaningful impact. Attendees will gain practical insights into balancing innovation with empathy—leveraging technology to enhance, not replace, the authenticity and community focus that define the sector.

Featuring keynote speaker Erin Spink, MA, an internationally recognized non-profit professional whose work includes the first-ever academic research quantifying the concept of "volunteer engagement", the Congress will inspire participants to think critically about how digital transformation can strengthen mission-driven work. Designed for organizations of all sizes, with a particular focus on completely volunteer-led organizations in the sport, recreation, arts, culture, and environmental sub-sectors, this event underscores the importance of investing in the ongoing education and development of both staff and volunteers.

Whether you are building capacity, adapting to new tools, or seeking to deepen your community connections, the Halton Non-Profit Congress offers the knowledge, networks, and inspiration needed to thrive in an evolving landscape.
