Today our chief, as well as members Tom Robarts, Beth Goodwin and Moose the pup took our tanker over to the Advocate District school to participate in their fun day. It was a beautiful day and great to give the pump on the tanker a little work out. Thank you Tom and Beth and moose for everything today!

🚒Wildfire Training Night🚒
When it comes to protecting our community, training never stops.
Emergency situations can happen at any time, often in challenging and unpredictable conditions. That's why our members spend countless hours training, building skills, confidence, and teamwork needed to respond when our community needs us most.
Tonight's hands-on training focused on our Wajax pump, including setting up equipment, connecting and advancing hose lines, and maintaining a reliable water supply during a fire response. These are critical skills for rural firefighting and can make all the difference when every second counts.
Training nights are about more than learning equipment and techniques. They give us the opportunity to work together, build trust in one another, strengthen communication, and gain confidence in our abilities. We challenge ourselves, learn from one another, and have plenty of laughs along the way. The bonds we build during training help make us a stronger team when we're called into action.
A big thank you to Jordan MacGillivary and Tom Robarts for sharing their knowledge and leading tonight's training session.
And of course, a special shout-out to our four legged mascot, Moose! 💖Loved by all our members, Moose is a regular at training nights and takes his supervisory role very seriously. Whether he's checking on the crew, chewing on a hose or two, or looking for a few extra pats, he's always a welcome member of the team–and always such a good boy.
Here are a few pics from tonight's training. 📷🔥

Today it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our former firefighters, Frank Morrison. Frank, over the course of the last year or more fought a very courageous battle with cancer. Today he lost that battle. Frank explained to me last year that they couldn’t pin point what may have caused the cancer, he said it could of been dealing with asbestos from a previous job or possibly from his 10 plus years of service to the volunteer fire service.
We all know the risks when we sign up to volunteer and yet we still do it.
At this time we would like to thank Frank for his 10 plus years of service to our department. Frank was the type of guy who would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, from helping neighbors with cattle to firefighting, that was franks nature, to help when he was needed. We are sending out our sincerest condolences to franks wife Tammy, and to all his family and friends. Rest easy Frank!

As many of you may have noticed, a bin similar to this has been placed at our firehall.
This dumpster is not for public use. The purpose of it is solely for Fire Department, and hall booking events.
Please refrain from using this as it fills up quickly and costs money to have it dumped.
We are currently in the process of having security cameras placed around the property so we will be able to monitor its use.
Thank you for your understanding
