We found some trout this week, even with water levels dropping significantly. Great day with Doug and Jess. She caught her first ever dry/hopper fish, and it was a beast of a cutbow that looked mostly cutthroat.

These spikes and drops on the river, sometimes in less than 24 hours, are about a foot in water level change. Fish will relocate if there is a 6 inch change in water level. No wonder fishing has been tough this past week.

The Bow River is something special! For those who call it their home water, sometimes we forget just how amazing it can be, and we need time to spend our time on the water to revive the respect and love this river deserves.
