As it heats up outside, the rides might get dry.
Lets L**e up!
We are a space dedicated to supporting women as well as nonbinary and gender-expansive people who feel affirmed in our space.
Our goal is to foster a community where all who experience gender-based oppression can find support, resources, and connection.

We love a puzzle here at Lilac.
We lower our stress levels by focusing on putting the pieces together while enjoying each others company and connecting.
If you like puzzles too, join us.

Every Second Thursday we will be walking while we talk.
Topic will be determined by the group.
We want to take full advantage of the nice weather and move our bodies while we are at it.

The Mi’kmaq eight-pointed star is a sacred, centuries-old symbol representing unity, the universe, and the sun.
The perfect emblem to usher in the summer solstice. You will find this star used to decorate traditional crafts, regalia, and community facilities across the Mi’kmaq Nation.
Lilac Place wishes friends accross Mi'kmaqi a joyous Indigenous Peoples Day.

While Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States, it has also become a day recognized by Black communities and allies around the world to honour Black liberation, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice.
At Lilac Place, we wish a Happy Juneteenth to Black communities across the Maritimes and beyond, with special appreciation for the rich history and enduring contributions of African Nova Scotian communities here in Cumberland County. As part of a province that is home to some of Canada’s oldest and most enduring Black communities, we celebrate the strength, leadership, and legacy that continue to shape our region today.

Wondering what you, our insightful community, would like to talk about.
Is there a topic you want us to bring back?
"How to have difficult conversations? How to make friends IRL? How to deal with social anxiety when you are neurodivergent?" are examples of conversations we've done in the past.
Leave your wished for topics in the comments, or message us with you your ideas.
