Today, March 17th, the County approved the 2026-27 Operating and Capital budgets. An overview of the approved budget will be available on the County website in the coming days.

2026-03-13 DELAYED OPENINGS
The following schools have a delay this morning:
Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education: high schools are opening 2 hours later than usual today due to road conditions. (Reminder - today is a Marking Day for elementary and middle level grades - these staff report 2 hours later than usual).
This means transportation will run 2 hours later than usual, and bus drivers will use their discretion.
CSAP: two hour delayed start today at Rose-des-Vents school.

As the 2026 wildfire risk season gets underway, Annapolis REMO is urging everyone to take proactive steps to reduce wildfire risk and protect their properties. Wildfire season in Nova Scotia official opens on this Sunday, March 15th and runs until October 15th.
