Just a reminder that in Annapolis County the walking trails and woods remain closed because of the wild fires.
Please respect our land and safety by staying off the trails until it is deemed safe to use.
The police have received calls of people on the trails and this could lead to a fine up to $25,000.00.
This biggest part here is everyone’s safety.

As the new school year begins the Annapolis Royal Police Department would like to remind you to always think safety first.
If you’re walking, use the cross walks to cross the road if they are available.
If you are riding a bicycle remember that you are required by law to follow the same rules of the road as if you were driving s car.
If you are driving follow all rules of the road and watch for students.
Drivers remember you are required to stop for school buses with their lights flashing.
And for everyone you are required to stop for ALL stop signs and red lights until the light changes or it is safe to cross. Pedestrians MUST wait for the light to change.
Have a great school year!

🚫 Trail Closure Notice 🚫

Due to the hot, dry weather and an increased risk of wildfires, the Province of Nova Scotia has announced new safety measures, effective as of 4 p.m. today (August 5). As part of these restrictions, all trails in our area, Harvest Moon Trail, French Basin Trail and access to First Lake are now closed to the public until conditions improve.
We understand this may be disappointing, especially during the summer months, but your cooperation is essential in reducing the risk of wildfires and ensuring the safety of our Town.

Today (Saturday July 12th) someone lost a money clip that has sentimental value to them. It is described as black in color. Approximately 1 inch wide by 3 incles long. It has a magnet inside to hold it shut. On the outside it has a Maltese Cross and IAAF on it. IAAF stands for International Association of Fire Fighters. He is a 33 year veteran and served in the Fire Service. If you locate it please turn it into the Annapolis Royal Police Department. It would be wonderful to get it back to him.
