Assessment Notices for property owners who had a change of ownership or change of assessment value (buildings, subdivisions, 293 exemptions) since this time last year, will be mailed this week.

Our RM Graders are working on opening up side roads, which will leave ridges in ditches and alongside dirt roads.

Council for the R.M. of Arborfield No. 456 and Town of Arborfield are pleased to welcome Brenda Ottenbreit as Acting Administrator for the joint-office.
She will be covering a 10-month maternity leave, and starts March 25, 2026.

With the staffing changes, the municipal office will temporarily be closed on Mondays and Friday, starting April 6, 2026 until January 2027.

UPDATE
Work has taken place to redirect the water flow from the road but it will remain closed for the weekend. The road is still open to local traffic.
****ROAD CLOSURE***
Range Road 2122, north of Highway 55 (marked by the red line), which serves as an access road to the Resort Village of Tobin Lake, is closed until further notice due to water from the natural spring covering the roadway, but will be open to local traffic. As an alternative, drivers can use Range Road 2123 (indicated by the green line) for a detour. We are working on a solution and will update as soon as we can.

Our graders are out and working, but with this much snowfall, things are going to move slower than anyone would like — including us.

Our two graders are out on the roads this morning and will work on the primary routes first, being as safe as possible.

The Municipal Office will be closed on Monday, February 16 for Family Day.

*The recycle bin is currently full and will be emptied on February 2. We ask that you wait until it’s emptied to bring in your recycling- don’t leave it on the ground.

Reminder to ratepayers that have access to the Recycle Bins at the Municipal Shop - the image below shows the only acceptable recyclable material that is allowed to be in the bin.
Also remember to fold your cardboard boxes to save room for others.

Bicycles, christmas lights, christmas decor etc are not allowed to be in the bin.
