🔥Open Burning Update 🔥
Open burning is now restricted, but campfires are still allowed—as long as you keep them safe and responsible.
Before lighting your fire, remember:
✅ For recreational, cooking, or ceremonial use only
✅ Keep it small (max. 0.5 m x 0.5 m)
✅ Burn clean, dry, untreated wood only
✅ Use a proper fire ring (non-combustible)
✅ Keep water nearby to put it out
✅ Stay at least 5 meters from buildings/property lines
✅ Fully extinguish before leaving

The Armstrong Spallumcheen Fire Department would like to remind residents that open air burning is not permitted between May 1st and October 31st. Campfires are allowed in both the City of Armstrong and the Township of Spallumcheen year round unless a campfire ban has been issued. For more information, you may refer to the bylaws tab at www.asfd.ca or contact the fire department.
