U.S. Consulate Calgary

The U.S. Consulate General Calgary will be closed Friday, June 19 for Juneteenth. The Consulate will reopen with regular hours on Monday, June 22.

Ambassador Hoekstra returned to Saskatchewan this week to share how our two countries can benefit from collaborating on oil, nuclear, uranium, and critical minerals at the 2026 State and Provincial Trends in Energy and the Environment Conference.

As we reflect on all that the United States has accomplished in 250 years, its rise as a global energy leader is a highlight—and Canada has been an important partner in that success.

Last night we celebrated that long-standing energy partnership, and the Consulate’s 22nd year at Global Energy Show Canada, with our partners at the Canada-Texas Chamber of Commerce.

We want to acknowledge the American and Canadian companies, workers, and communities who drive North American energy leadership forward. The best ideas in energy emerge when we have opportunities to build together.

The U.S. Consulate General Calgary will be closed Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. The Consulate will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, May 26.

There can be tougher days in diplomacy, but thanks to the Albertans who’ve supported keeping American wine and spirits on their shelves, yesterday wasn’t one of them.

CG Fleckner had a wonderful time at a Top Drop tasting in Calgary that showcased some great wines from California, Washington, Oregon, and New York.

Thank you, Alberta, for your continued patronage of American wine producers (many of whom are small, independent, and family-owned); you’ve kept us cheersing and breaking bread together.

CG Fleckner caught a glimpse of aviation and nursing simulators during an impressive tour of Mount Royal University this morning, and learned how technologies like these allow students some hands-on experience without stepping off campus.

💡Meet with Alberta's Industrial Heartland Association, which helps facilitate investment in Canada’s largest hydrocarbon processing region;
🤝Discuss opportunities to grow both of our economies with Edmonton Global and the Edmonton Chamber; and
✈️Swing by Edmonton International Airport to visit our Customs and Border Protection officers, who told us about their efforts to keep our countries safe.
