Thank you to all of the schools that participated in this year’s Reuse Centre School Donation Drive. Together, we diverted over 340 kg from landfills—what an incredible community effort! 🌍

🌞 Summer Swaps at the Reuse Centre 🌞

All swaps will take place on the third Saturday of every month. Bring your reusable belongings to the Edmonton Reuse Centre between 10 AM - 3 PM and swap them for another item that you may need.

The Centre is open and operating as usual — so feel free to browse while you're here!

The first of four Free Eco Station Weekends is coming up.

Kennedale, Ambleside and Strathcona Eco Stations will be open from 8 am to 6 pm on May 16 and 17 for residents to drop off household hazardous waste, appliances, electronics and large bulky items at no charge.

Lines can be long. Avoid an unnecessary wait by reviewing the list of items that are always free to drop off at Eco Stations year-round.

Big Bin Events kick off on May 9-10 at Northlands (Wayne Gretzky Drive & 119 Avenue).

This is the first of EIGHT events that will be held over the summer to give residents an opportunity to drop off items too large or bulky for regular waste collection.

It’s National Volunteer Week!

Last year more than 7,200 volunteers dedicated over 62,000 hours to support City programs such as Root for Trees, Capital City Clean Up, the Master Composter Recycler program and many more!

From the Reuse Centre, a special thank you to our MCRs who had more than 22,000 conversations to help their neighbours understand and use our waste system effectively!
