There’s still time to support youth in our community through The Home Depot Canada Foundation’s Spring Orange Door Project Campaign!
Visit your local participating Home Depot and make a donation to YESS. Every gift helps provide safety, stability, and support for youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness—and 100% of funds stay local to help young people in our community.
If you’re heading to Home Depot this weekend, consider adding a donation at checkout. Together, we can make a lasting difference. 🧡

Over 60% of youth experiencing homelessness don’t have consistent access to nutritious meals.
At YESS, youth can access hot meals, snacks, and a safe place to eat every day. Something as simple as knowing where your next meal is coming from can make a huge difference. 💛
Thank you to everyone who helps make that possible for youth in our community.

Coming to a new place for help can feel scary or overwhelming — we get that 💛
When you first come to YESS, our staff will help you get settled in and connect you with support. That could mean a safe place to sleep, food, clothing, hygiene supplies, mental health support, or just someone to talk to.
We’ll also help you figure out next steps like housing, school support, life skills, and other resources when you’re ready.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to us. We’re here to help.

Happy Pride Month 🌈
At YESS, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to be themselves — to feel respected, supported, and accepted without judgment.
For many youth, having access to safe spaces and affirming support can make a life-changing difference. This month and every month, we remain committed to creating an environment where young people feel seen, valued, and connected to community.
Pride is about visibility, belonging, and celebrating people for exactly who they are. 💛

We’re excited to launch Mending Hope 🧵💛
In this program, we team up with The Mended Thread to teach you simple hand sewing skills so you can fix and take care of your own clothes and shoes. From jackets to jeans to boots — you’ll learn how to make your stuff last longer and stay in good shape.
It’s hands-on, chill, and you’ll build skills you can actually use in everyday life (and keep forever).
New skills. Real-life use. A little more independence each week
