Participants learned about:
-Child development milestones
-Signs that a child may need additional support
-Autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities
-Practical ways to support children at home
-Community programs and resources available to families
A special thank you to the team from Glenrose Hospital for delivering such an engaging and informative session. Their expertise, knowledge, and willingness to answer questions provided valuable insights and practical guidance for families navigating child development concerns and support services.

On behalf of the Alberta Immigrant Women and Children Centre,we would like to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother figures in our communities.
This Mother’s Day, our youth came together to celebrate the incredible women who inspire, nurture, and support us every day through creativity and heartfelt appreciation.
Students created unique art pieces to honour their mothers and express gratitude for their endless love, sacrifices, strength, and care.
Today and every day, we celebrate and appreciate the amazing mothers and mother figures who make a lasting difference in our families, communities, and lives.
Our participants had the opportunity to take part in a calming yoga and mindfulness session led by our dedicated volunteer, Anna Bolshakova
Through guided movement and mindfulness practices, participants were able to relax, reconnect, and take time for their wellbeing something that is often overlooked in busy daily lives.
We’re so grateful for volunteers who bring care, intention, and healing into our space.

We collaborated with Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre to host a free tax clinic for our seniors and women.
For many of the individuals we serve, this meant being able to file their taxes on time, access much-needed benefits and credits, and ease financial stress. Access to free tax support makes a real difference creating stability, building confidence, and ensuring no one is left behind.
