Our officers continue to focus on keeping our roads safe.
Recently, a member of our Road Safety Section stopped a driver travelling 115 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. The driver was charged with stunt driving. As a result, their licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14.
Speeding puts everyone at risk, including the driver, passengers, and others on the road.
Slow down and drive safely.

Think you’re getting a great deal on a new phone? 🚔 Think again.
We’re seeing an increase in scams where fraudsters claim to be from your phone provider, offering an unbeatable deal on a new phone and plan. They know your account details, the phone arrives, and then you’re told the wrong device was sent. You’re given a shipping label to return it, but it goes straight to the scammer, leaving you responsible for the cost.
Before accepting any unsolicited offer:
✔️ Verify who you’re speaking with by contacting your provider directly.
✔️ Only return devices through legitimate channels.
✔️ If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Please share this post to help protect your family, friends, and vulnerable loved ones from falling victim to phone scams.

Every day is Take Your Dog to Work Day for the LPS Canine Unit! 🐾
Today, we’re giving a special shoutout to our Police Service Dogs and their handlers for the dedication, teamwork and countless hours they put into helping keep our community safe.
Remember, if you’re out enjoying the warm weather or running errands, never leave your pet unattended in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes. Temperatures can rise quickly and become dangerous.
Stay safe, London!

When one of us is hurt, we all feel it. 💙
Today, Chief Thai Truong, members of the London Police Service, the London Police Association, and the London Police Services Board stood in solidarity with the Pinizzotto family, the Toronto Police Service, and policing partners from across Ontario and beyond as we honoured the life of Constable Marc Pinizzotto.
Cst. Pinizzotto dedicated his life to protecting others as a proud member of the Emergency Task Force. He served with courage, humility, and commitment, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Today, we celebrated his life, honoured his service, and stood beside those who loved him most.
Cst. Pinizzotto will never be forgotten. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the community he served, and the officers who continue the work he was so passionate about.
Our thoughts remain with his family, friends, and all members of the TPS.

Today, we pause to honour the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism.
At the LPS, we remember those whose lives were taken, those who continue to carry the lasting impacts of terrorism, and the families, friends and communities forever changed by these acts of violence.
As we reflect, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting our community, standing against hatred and violence in all its forms, and supporting a future built on compassion, resilience and unity.
Today, we remember. We honour. We will never forget.
