πŸŽ³πŸŽ‰ What an incredible day at our 2026 Bowl-A-Thon on June 7th!

We're so grateful to everyone who came out, raised money, volunteered, sponsored, and helped make this year's event such a success. Together, PHSS Foundation raised over $44,000 in support of PHSS and the people we support.

A special thank you to Terence Kernaghan, MPP, for helping us kick off the bowling by throwing the first ball alongside Sean!

The energy, enthusiasm, and community spirit on display throughout the day were truly inspiring. We are so grateful for each and every person who helped make this event possible.

Thank you for making this year's Bowl-A-Thon one to remember. We can't wait to do it all again next year! πŸŽ‰πŸ’™

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to recognize and honour the rich histories, diverse cultures, and enduring contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and MΓ©tis Peoples across Canada.

We encourage everyone to take time to learn, listen, and reflect on the truths of our shared history while celebrating the strength, resilience, and achievements of Indigenous communities.

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ June is Pride Month πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

This month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Pride is a time to honour the progress that has been made, reflect on the work still ahead, and recognize the importance of inclusion, respect, and belonging.

We are committed to fostering a community where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported during Pride Month and throughout the year.

Happy Pride Month!

What an absolutely beautiful piece of artwork done by the artists at Community Place West!

Thank you Yellowpolkadots by Angela for helping our artists express themselves in such a beautiful way!

Artists at PH west completed a collaborative piece. A beautiful display of each as an individual and as a community. These are the hands that reach out to touch the world and our hearts.

Our piece was a spin off from Davis Art. We are observing how a similar colour palette connects each square yet can display a different feeling. Our artists highlighted their interests not only with images but with the tools used to create the painted papers used for the hands. For example, one artist loves cars; he printed the tire tracks of an old motorcycle wheel over his blue background. These marks are subtle yet so powerful in the making of these artworks.

Once a month our Community Involvement group plans a roller-skating night filled with music, movement, and plenty of fun! πŸ›Όβœ¨

These evenings are a great opportunity to connect with friends, build confidence, and enjoy being active in the community. Our staff are always on hand to offer support and make sure everyone feels included, confident, and ready to roll.

It's always great to see our regular roller-skaters back on the rink, alongside first timers and those who drop in whenever they can. πŸ›Όβœ¨πŸ’™
