On Thursday, we celebrated the hard work, dedication and achievements of our student-athletes this year. Here’s a word from Mr. Sivasundarampillai, teacher, coach and organizer of the Athletic Banquet:
“To our student-athletes— your dedication, teamwork and perseverance have made this a season to be proud of. You have represented Marymount with spirit and integrity both on and off the field.
Being an athlete on its own is something to be proud of. It takes commitment, discipline, resilience and courage. Win or lose, what matters most is the progress you’ve made, the effort you’ve given, and the journey you’ve experienced along the way.”
Congratulations to the award recipients and to all athletes who made the 2025-2026 an incredible year for Marymount.
Athletes of the year went to:
🏆Ludovis Duvane Kengne Tcheutchoua
🏆Kyra Marie Jardin Roxas
🏅And a special award went to Ms. Compton for her leadership, dedication and involvement with sports at Marymount. Congrats!

More photos from our exciting Indigo Love of Reading announcement party yesterday!
Students and teachers who helped with the application were invited down to play a few games and enjoy delicious cakes baked by none other than our own Mr. Arnold.
Fun Fact: Our students borrowed an impressive 2,843 books this year—enough to circulate our entire collection once over! That works out to an average of six books per student. We look forward to seeing those numbers grow thanks to this generous contribution. 🩷📚🩷

📣Cat’s out of the bag! We are so thrilled to announce we have been awarded a $20,000 Literacy Fund Grant from Indigo Love of Reading Foundation! The funds will be spent on both high-interest reading materials and books with global perspectives for our secondary one and two students.
Marymount has a diverse student population with many avid readers. We are excited to be able to match students to the literature they love, while introducing them to new books that reflect the wide scope of interests, tastes, and identities alive in our school.
Our school librarian, Mrs. MacIntyre, would like to thank the staff and students who contributed to the application and who work together daily to build a culture of reading at our school. This was a group effort. Thanks to our community members Naomi Balardelle and Simeon Pompey. And a special shout out to Mr. Bunn and Mr. Arnold for going the extra mile.

What an incredible achievement by this talented student team! 🙌
Their innovative work on “ScreenPath” shows the power of combining compassion, research and technology to address real healthcare inequities in Québec.
We are so proud to see our students recognized with the Voices of Olympia Second Prize of Excellence, along with Jury Mentions.
Congratulations to our students, Ms. Thomakos and their mentor Ms. Kouamé for this outstanding accomplishment! 💙

We were also treated to a wonderful short play from the Drama Club that had the audience smiling and laughing.
