The "Grocery Rebate" is now part of the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit (formerly the GST/HST credit).
​You can expect payments on these dates in 2026:
​April 2 (Regular quarterly payment)
​By June (Expected one-time "top-up" payment)
​July 3 (First increased payment, up 25%)
​October 5 (Regular quarterly payment)
​You do not need to apply; the CRA sends these automatically if you filed your 2024 tax return.

Filing dates for 2025 taxes

March 2, 2026: Deadline to contribute to an RRSP, a PRPP, or an SPP
April 30, 2026: Deadline to file your taxes
June 15, 2026: Deadline to file your taxes if you or your spouse or common-law partner are self-employed
Payment due date for 2025 taxes

April 30, 2026: Deadline to pay your taxes
