Today we hosted our Leadership Forum. This semi-annual event brings together all the leaders from across Carefor for a day of planning, education, communication and teamwork. Today we looked back on successes from the past 3 years, as well as upcoming priorities and opportunities - while also taking some time to laugh and play together.

We are delighted to welcome Emma Tibbo to Carefor as our new Vice-President, People, Strategy & Growth.

Emma joins Carefor from her role as CEO of the Glebe Centre Long-Term Care Home and Seniors’ Centre. Prior to this appointment, she also served as a valued member of the Carefor Board of Directors.

In this key leadership role, Emma will oversee a broad portfolio, providing strategic and operational leadership across Human Resources, Business Development, Marketing, Fundraising & Communications, Organizational Strategy, and Enterprise Governance & Risk.

Emma’s deep expertise, combined with her strong commitment to client-centred care and extensive knowledge of the local healthcare system, will be a tremendous asset to Carefor and to the communities we serve.

Last week we hosted our staff and volunteer appreciation event to celebrate the amazing people who make up Carefor.

We are so grateful to our team for their skill, compassion and commitment to making the lives of their clients and their families better.

We celebrated staff who have been with Carefor for 5, 10, 15, 20 and even 25 years, as well as volunteers and some returning retirees.

June is National Seniors' Month. Since 1897 Carefor has supported local seniors through their health and wellness journey.

As a not-for-profit charity, we are part of your community, helping seniors in need live with choice and dignity.

Donor support pays for staff training, equipment, building repairs and more - which allows us to ensure seniors can access the services they need, such as in-home nursing, personal support and rehabilitation, as well as programs for people living with dementia.
