Productive meeting with 🇩🇪 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 global onshore wind leader Nordex Wind about their growing footprint in Canada and wind as part of the solution to double Canada’s electricity generation. With increasing challenges on critical infrastructure like electricity grids, 🇨🇦 can count on secure and reliable partners!

On Saturday, football fans, Germany supporters from across Ottawa came together Braumeister Bierhalle to cheer on Team Germany.
The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and plenty of team spirit. With every chance, every save and every goal, the excitement in the room continued to grow. It was wonderful to see so many people gathering to celebrate the beautiful game, connect with one another and share their passion for football.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this watch party such a memorable event. Your enthusiasm, energy and support reminded us once again how sport brings people together across borders.

🇩🇪⚽ Du coup d’envoi jusqu’au coup de sifflet final, l’ambiance à notre soirée de visionnement était tout simplement incroyable!
Samedi, des amateurs de soccer et des partisans de l’Allemagne de partout dans la région d’Ottawa se sont réunis Braumeister Bierhalle pour encourager l’équipe d’Allemagne.
L’atmosphère était remplie d’anticipation et d’un formidable esprit d’équipe. À chaque occasion de marquer, à chaque arrêt et à chaque but, l’enthousiasme dans la salle ne cessait de grandir. Ce fut un réel plaisir de voir autant de personnes se rassembler pour célébrer ce magnifique sport, échanger entre elles et partager leur passion du soccer.
Un immense merci à toutes celles et à tous ceux qui se sont joints à nous et qui ont contribué à faire de cette soirée de visionnement un événement aussi mémorable. Votre enthousiasme, votre énergie et votre soutien nous ont rappelé une fois de plus à quel point le sport rapproche les gens au-delà des frontières.

“A very touching evening at Machzikei Hadas with Rabbi Scher & a room full of stories that moved me deeply. We discussed Jewish life in 🇩🇪 and how government supports it, our joint fight against antisemitism and the high penalties our criminal code foresees for Holocaust denial.
I explained 🇩🇪‘s federal + provincial Antisemitism Commissioners and standing joint federal and state commission and how Bundeskriminalamt and Bundesverband RIAS e.V. collect data. How we train teachers and law students. We are far from perfect and as Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz Merz has said:
‘The fight against antisemitism and misanthropy as well as remembrance of the Shoah, is the ongoing responsibility of all our citizens.’”

Human-centred AI lies at the heart of the shared values of Germany and Canada. MILA and G&D embody that vision. And Germany will showcase it again in September as the featured country at , Canada’s largest tech and data event.

What a lovely way to mark the end of the school year at the German Language School Ottawa (German Language School Ottawa Inc.)!
It was a pleasure to join students, families, teachers, and volunteers as they celebrated another year of learning, growth, and connection through the German language. The enthusiasm of the students and the dedication of the entire school community were on full display throughout the afternoon.
A sincere thank you to everyone who contributes their time, energy, and commitment to keeping German language and culture vibrant in Ottawa.
We were delighted to be part of this special year-end celebration and wish the entire school community a wonderful summer break. 🇩🇪🇨🇦
