The Women Head of Diplomatic Mission (WHDMO) led by the High Commissioner of Malaysia as the current President, co-hosted the Forum on the International Day of Women in Diplomacy alongside Gowling WLG!
Under the theme "Women in Economic, Advancement and Empowerment Sphere," this event brought together an exceptional group of women: Canadian government officials, parliamentarians, the diplomatic corps, business leaders, academia, think tanks, law firms, business associations, NGOs, and cultural and national institutions.
This forum was truly created by women, for women. Together, we are working to empower current and future generations of women diplomats towards a more inclusive and resilient future.

This innovative framework by 369 Global emphasises the strategic significance of high-quality technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in today's competitive landscape.
It was an insightful event, and we look forward to exploring how this model can serve as a foundation for deeper cooperation between Malaysia and Canada.

We are pleased to share that Mr Hardi Hamdin, Chargé d'affaires a.i., attended the Grain Farmers Reception, graciously hosted by The Hon. Senator Robert Black in partnership with the Grain Farmers of Ontario, Quebec Grain Farmers, and the Atlantic Grains Council.
The reception brought together members of the diplomatic community, parliamentarians, and agricultural leaders to meet with grains and oilseed farmers. It served as a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the vital role of the grain sector in the global food supply chain, share bilateral insights on food security, and experience some of Canada's finest grain-based products.

Connecting with partners, sharing visions, and driving collective progress. Mr Hardi Hamdin, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., attended the 1st Commonwealth High Commissioners’ Caucus Meeting, hosted by the British High Commissioner, His Excellency Rob Tinline.
The inaugural meeting provided a valuable platform for diplomatic heads to engage in constructive dialogue, exchange insights, and reinforce shared values across the Commonwealth family.
Discussions focused on encouraging closer cooperation, tackling shared challenges, planning upcoming activities, and exploring new collaboration opportunities in a constantly changing global environment.

Celebrating diversity at Parliament Hill! On May 27, 2026, I attended the National Launch of the 24th Taste of Asia Festival and Asian Heritage Month. It was a vibrant evening featuring fantastic performances and a wonderful foretaste of the culinary delights to come at the full festival in Markham this June. Thank you to the organizers for a successful and inclusive reception that truly honors the contributions of the Asian community in Canada.
