FoodWise workshops provide participants with practical tools and strategies to reduce food waste, save money, and make the most of the food they bring home. Topics include understanding food labels, meal budgeting, food-saving apps, food preservation techniques, and more.

We are seeking Board Members to help guide Debra Dynes Family House! Professionals and those with lived experience of poverty are invited to apply! Send a letter of interest, or your resume, to [email protected] to learn more.

Fridays are for gardening at Debra Dynes! Bring the whole family and connect with nature and your food! All ages and experience levels are welcome! No registration required.

Thursday afternoons are for story time! Hosted by Sara from EarlyOn, come stroll through a story with your little ones! It all happens in Rideauview Park behind the Family House, every Thursday from 2:30-3:30 PM.

A huge thank you to Ribbon for coming on thier annual Day of Caring! On May 15, fifteen wonderful volunteers came and gave it thier all; making lunches, organizing stock, and planting gardens to benefit everyone in the Debra Dynes community. Ribbon, you folks are amazing!

Register before July 31st for free backpacks & school supplies for kids going back to school in September!

Youth who reside in OCH housing can apply from kindergarden through Grade 12.
Youth who reside elsewhere can apply if they are in kindergarden through Grade 9.
